In May 2012 Nikki Newman held a workshop at Tribe Bookstore in the Student Center at Qatar Foundation's Education City, teaching the basics of fashion-themed art.

The course was repeated in July 2013 at the new Tribe Bookstore at Qatar University and was extremely successful.  Here is what one student said after the course:
